At the end of this month, SEA will be hosting an educational and informational event in Guatemala and El Salvador to showcase the Northern Triangle Initiative to our membership. We want our membership to better understand the process of requesting Northern Triangle workers. This involves making introductions so that employers can be better informed, meet the pertinent government players, and, if they so choose, interview workers.
Now that the lottery results have been announced for employers with an April 1st date of need, we have many members who did not win the lottery meaning, absent winning the returning worker cap relief lottery, they will not be receiving their returning workers. We are encouraging our members to look at a Northern Triangle workforce as either a backup option if you have returning workers and if you are new to the program, Northern Triangle workers may be your only option!
20,000 visas have been allocated to the Northern Triangle countries for this upcoming season. We do not believe these visas will be fully used meaning if you request Northern Triangle workers, you should receive them.
